Child and Family Support Center of Shirak Region Orphanage

Future of Armenia’s branch in Armenia, Hayastani Apaga has visited the Child & Family Center of Shirak Region on many occasions to best determine and identify the center’s needs. The focus of this project is long term stability and quality of life enhancement for the center and its residents. The orphanage has various needs such as diapers, bath towels, soaps, flooring, paint, ceiling fixtures and much more. These are only a few of their needs but a small insight into the lack of stable conditions in which the center is in.

Future of Armenia in collaboration with another organization teamed up to provide help for the Child & Family Center of Shirak Region (Orphanage). We are grateful to every single one of our donors and supporters this would not be possible without you. 

What we have purchased for the Orphanage:

• Pampers (4-6 size) 1 year supply
• Bath Towels (55 pieces)
• Bathing Slippers (55 sets mixed boys & girls, 1 set = 2 pairs)
• Tops/Undershirts (55 pieces, boys & girls)
• Undergarments (55 pieces, boys & girls)
• Bed Sets Custom Made (3 pieces in each set, 55 sets)
• Electric Hand Dryer for 3 Bathrooms
• Curtains (12 new custom curtains installed)
• Curtain Rods & Accessories (12 pieces, 18 meters)
• Developmental Game (1 purchased)
• New Pan Complex Purchased for the Orphanage

Kitchen

• Umbrella’s Purchased for the kids at the Orphanage

• Brand new armchairs purchased for the orphanage (2 total)

Construction completed and installed at the Orphanage:

• Cabinets (5 handmade = 1 toy cabinet & 4 shoe cabinets)
• New Flooring for 5 rooms
• Molding (56 meters)
• Window Ledge (5 new installed)
• Ceiling (New Ceiling fixture in 1 room)
• Doors (6 brand new doors installed)
• Minor Materials needed for door installments (3 pieces)
• Iron door (Brand new iron door, hand made from scratch)
• Bedroom Painting (7 rooms fully renovated with paint, 5 rooms painted twice due to children writing and painting on the walls & touching when paint was wet)
• Evacuation door fixed w/ New window installed for ventilation
• Ceiling Lamp fixtures (4 rooms)
